We can also prepare the property for market and, when needed, Addison can handle the home sale as part of the overall plan.

We work alongside your attorney
We understand that probate has legal requirements and that those decisions belong with you and your attorney. Our role is to coordinate the work at the home with the legal timeline you’ve been given. We are happy to communicate with your estate attorney when appropriate, and if you need a local estate attorney, we can provide names of professionals for you to consider.

Belongings in an estate carry memories, history, and meaning. We handle them with the same care and respect we would want for our own family’s things. Our job is to carry as much of the practical work as we can, so you have more time and energy for the people who matter most.

We handle the home and its contents. Anything touching the legal side belongs with your attorney, and we are glad to work alongside them.
Can we clear the house before probate is finished?
Sometimes, though not always, and it depends on the will, the court, and where the estate has got to. Your attorney is the right person to answer it for your situation. Once you have that answer we work to it, and we can be ready to move as soon as you are cleared to.
How long will the whole thing take?
That varies enormously with the estate, and your attorney can give you a realistic timeline where we cannot. What we can say is that clearing and preparing the home is often not the slowest part, and it does not always have to wait for every legal step to conclude.
What if the family does not agree about the belongings?
This is the most common hard part, and it is worth planning for rather than hoping around. What helps most is doing the family distribution first and writing it down, before anything is sold or donated, so nobody discovers after the fact that something they wanted has gone. We work from that list.
Do the belongings need to be appraised?
For items of genuine value it is often worth it, and depending on the estate it may be required. We can usually tell you quickly which pieces warrant a proper appraisal and which do not, so you are not paying to value a houseful of ordinary furniture.
What happens to the things nobody wants?
Items of value go through an estate sale or auction, which puts money back into the estate. What does not sell is donated where it can be, and only what is genuinely beyond use is disposed of. Nothing is simply hauled off without that being the honest last option.
Who pays for the work?
It is usually paid from the estate rather than by the executor personally, but confirm that with your attorney before you commit to anything. We will give you a clear figure up front either way.
We are out of state. Can this still work?
Yes, and it is common. We can walk the home, send photographs, and keep you and the rest of the family updated as we go, so decisions still sit with you without needing you here for every one of them.
